Vasco join São Paulo in race for Allan from Flamengo

Vasco have moved to sign Flamengo midfielder Allan, entering the race with São Paulo after a request from head coach Fernando Diniz.

ESPN reports that São Paulo are interested in Allan, but talks with Flamengo have not progressed. With that opening, Vasco have signalled interest in a loan until the end of 2026.

Diniz has phoned Allan in recent days in a bid to persuade him to join the rivals. Vasco are banking on the coach’s good relationship with the player to complete the move.

São Paulo have not advanced negotiations for Allan due to issues behind the scenes at the club. That has opened the door for Vasco to enter the chase.

Amid interest from Vasco, Allan remains available for Flamengo. Flamengo are set to face Sampaio Corrêa at the Maracanã on Saturday 07 at 21:00, Brasília time, in the sixth round of the Campeonato Carioca.
