Vasco da Gama are focused on the Copa do Brasil final against Corinthians, yet their 2026 planning includes renewed monitoring of Breno Lopes. The forward is at Fortaleza and is expected to depart at the turn of the season.
According to PaponaColina, Red Bull Bragantino are also tracking the 29-year-old, while Vitória sounded out a deal but withdrew over the cost, suggesting any move would require significant investment.
Breno Lopes delivered 17 goal involvements in 2025, a consistent campaign that nevertheless could not prevent Fortaleza’s relegation in the Campeonato Brasileiro. His form has put him back on Vasco’s radar as an experienced, decisive option in attack.
Vasco had pursued him in February 2024 when he was at Palmeiras. Ramón Díaz approved the move, but Abel Ferreira blocked the exit.
With that obstacle removed and a Fortaleza departure looming, the path appears clearer now. Officially, Vasco deny any move, insisting their focus remains on the final, though internal planning for 2026 continues.
