Vasco player ratings: Rojas, Puma and Andrés Gómez lead 3-0 win over Boavista | OneFootball

Vasco beat Boavista 3-0 in Bacaxá. Globo.com reports that Johan Rojas, Puma Rodríguez and Andrés Gómez were the standouts.

Early on, Daniel Fuzato was alert to deny Filipinho. Puma opened the scoring, turning in Andrés Gómez’s cross from close range. Tchê Tchê then missed a clear chance from inside the box before the break.

After the interval, Rojas teed up Puma for his second. Soon after, Rojas won the ball and Andrés Gómez chipped in from range for a superb third.

Fuzato produced a fine second-half save and swept well outside his area. At the back, Saldivia mixed precise interventions with errors, including a late lapse that went unpunished. Tchê Tchê also gifted a dangerous attack with a misplaced pass.

Coach Fernando Diniz picked a mixed side with one eye on Vasco’s Brasileirão debut and was rewarded with a convincing win. His call to start Rojas paid off, though using Tchê Tchê wide did not convince. The result helps the club recover in the table.
