Vasco da Gama are in advanced talks over a six-month loan for Benjamim Garré to Damac Club. According to Central do Arabão, the Argentine has a verbal agreement and the move could be finalised in the coming days.

The deal would be a temporary switch rather than a sale, with Vasco to receive $350,000, about R$ 2 million, for the loan. The fee is viewed as useful income and would ease the wage bill as the player looks for more minutes.

Damac have submitted Garré’s name to the Saudi League Recruitment Committee, which approves budgets and the technical viability of foreign signings. With club and player aligned, approval is expected to be a formality before he travels to sign.

Garré has struggled for minutes under Fernando Diniz despite arriving with high expectations. A move to Saudi Arabia would offer a fresh start in a league attracting high-profile names.

For Vasco, the loan could help protect the asset and potentially open the door to a future sale, or see him return with added experience. The club continue preparations for their competitions and the arrivals of Brenner and Hinestroza in attack.
