“Very positive talks”: Will Carlo Ancelotti stay with Brazil beyond 2026?
Brazil are close to renewing Carlo Ancelotti’s contract as head coach until the end of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Reports from Brazil suggest that Carlo Ancelotti is very close to extending his contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation.
According to Globo Sport negotiations between the two sides have reached advanced stage with strong satisfaction inside the federation.
The report stated that officials are very pleased with Ancelotti’s work since taking charge of the Brazil describing the mood around the talks as “very positive”
Ancelotti took over Brazil after leaving Real Madrid last summer signing initial contract that runs until the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His appointment marked historic moment as he became the first foreign coach to lead the Brazilian national team.
Since his arrival the experienced Italian has been tasked with guiding Brazil through transition period while keeping the team competitive at the highest level.
So far Ancelotti has coached Brazil in eight matches recording four win, two draw and two defeats.
Under his leadership Brazil have already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
These results have strengthened Ancelotti’s position and increased confidence within the federation that he is the right man to lead the team beyond 2026.
The proposed extension would keep Ancelotti in charge until the 2030 World Cup signaling Brazil’s desire for stability and long term planning.
