Enzo Fernandez has started making noises about leaving Chelsea, and Matisse Armani has admitted it’s more than possible.

Chelsea influencer Matisse Armani was on Sky Sports this morning when the subject of Enzo Fernandez came up.

The midfielder gave some quotes this week which cast doubt on his future at Stamford Bridge. Armani was asked what he would do with the wantaway Argentine. He insisted that if he were in charge, he’d put his foot down.

“He may not want to be there, but he’s locked into a long term contract… you signed that paperwork, you signed your career away, [if I were in charge] you’re staying, I’d keep you,” he said.

Chelsea midfielder could go if correct bids come in

But when pressed on whether he thought the midfielder would go, Armani admitted it was a possibility:

“I think he could be gone, if he wants to go that badly and if the bids are high enough. He could play for Real Madrid, he could play for PSG. I think he could play for that level of club, I’ve always said that about him.”

One pundit asked if selling him might be a smart idea to raise some funds for other players, but Armani disagreed for one simple reason:

“I don’t trust our sporting directors to replace any of our players adequately, to the level required.”
