Brest’s bright start at Rennes in the 16th round of Ligue 1 was undone, two Kenny Lala mistakes putting the hosts ahead at half-time.

Brest had gone in front through Mama Baldé in the 13th minute.
The first error saw the ball ricochet off the right-back’s foot, allowing Mousa Al-Tamari to intercept and cut back for Estéban Lepaul to equalise in the 24th minute.
Moments later, the former Strasbourg defender underhit a back-pass towards Brendan Chardonnet, and Al-Tamari pounced again to beat Grégoire Coudert from close range in the 25th minute.
