Daniel Maldini has arrived to begin his medical tests with Atalanta ahead of his January transfer from fellow Serie A side Monza, which is also set to benefit the 23-year-old’s former club Milan.
Atalanta have secured a deal to sign Maldini from Monza for a fee in the region of €13m-€14m. The move will also be profitable for Milan, who have a 50% sell-on clause, which means they are expected to receive around €6.5m-€7m as a result.
With a deal in place, the 23-year-old was allowed to begin his medical with Atalanta on Friday.

The medical is being carried out in the city of Milan, and afterwards he is expected to make the short journey over to Bergamo to complete the final formalities of his transfer.
Maldini is set to become Gian Piero Gasperini’s first signing of the January transfer window.
The deal comes at convenient timing for La Dea, who will have to do without Ademola Lookman for several weeks due to injury.
Monza, meanwhile, are expecting to welcome Francesco Camarda on loan from Milan before the end of the January transfer window to cover for their outgoing attacker.
