Star striker Santiago Gimenez landed in Milan last night to complete his long-awaited transfer from Dutch giants Feyenoord. Antonio Vitiello shared footage of the Mexican’s arrival on X, with the Rossoneri set to land one of Europe’s most sought-after prospects.

Gimenez will undergo medicals in the morning before putting pen to paper on a multi-year contract. However, he won’t be at Sergio Conceicao’s disposal when Milan and Inter lock horns in the iconic Derby della Madonnina later this evening.

Furthermore, Milan will offload Alvaro Morata to Galatasaray to make room for the former Cruz Azul center-forward. Despite moving to the San Siro last summer, the Spaniard has failed to live up to expectations. Therefore, he’ll soon team up with the Turkish outfit on loan with an option to buy.

Morata’s imminent departure will leave the coveted number seven open for the taking. However, Gimenez could also choose No9 if Luka Jovic leaves Milan down the final stretch of the January transfer window. The Serbia international could soon exit the club after a dreadful first half of the season.

As for Gimenez, he had turned down several lucrative proposals across Europe to pledge his future to Milan. His arrival should address the club’s desperate need for a prolific striker after Morata’s disappointing episode in Serie A.
