FC Bayern Women captain Glódís Viggósdóttir has been named Iceland’s Women’s Footballer of the Year for the fourth time in a row. The defender doesn’t only lead Bayern’s team but also wears the armband for her country, so far winning 142 caps and scoring 13 goals.

The 30-year-old captained Bayern to a historic first domestic double in 2024/25, as well as lifting the Supercup at the start of this season. Viggósdóttir has once again been one of the pillars of the team this term.
