Villarreal complete signing of goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi from RB Leipzig | OneFootball

Villarreal have completed the signing of Hungarian goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi from RB Leipzig. He will sign a two-year deal to 30 June 2028, with an option for a third season.

According to Superdeporte, the transfer was finalised and made official on Monday.

The 36-year-old spent 11 seasons with Leipzig, featuring in the Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League. He lifted the German Cup in 2021-22 and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2019-20.

Gulácsi will train for the first time under Iñigo Pérez on Tuesday, then be presented at 12.00 in a media-only event.

Born in Budapest on 06/05/1990, he previously played for RB Salzburg, Tranmere Rovers, Hereford United, Hull City and Liverpool. He made 362 appearances for Leipzig.

He has 58 caps for Hungary.
