Bayern Munich are not believed to be interested in a summer move for Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutch defender's contract is winding down and, despite a recent insistence that he has not yet made a decision on his future, reports on his next move continue to swirl and Bayern have found themselves named as leading suitors.
Indeed, claims from Spain state Bayern have made a formal offer to Van Dijk and may have already convinced the veteran centre-back to take his talents to Germany when his Liverpool contract expires this summer.
Florian Plettenberg, however, describes the speculation as "wide of the mark".
While there is an obvious admiration for Van Dijk's talent, he is not currently seen as a summer target for Bayern and it is stressed that there has been no concrete talks between the two parties at all recently.
Alongside Bayern, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have been touted as a possible landing spot for Van Dijk - speculation which was aided by footage of the defender speaking with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi and sporting director Luis Campos in the tunnel after Liverpool's Champions League exit.
PSG have, however, moved to distance themselves from a possible summer approach for Van Dijk, whose focus remains on finishing the season with Liverpool and guiding the Reds to the Premier League title of his career.
Liverpool hope to convince Van Dijk to sign a new contract before his current terms expire but, as is the case with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold, time is running out.
