Enzo Fernandez will not be playing against Man City this weekend, despite some silly rumours his suspension could be reduced.

Over the weekend there were some very spurious stories coming from the Argentine media that Enzo Fernandez and his camp had hope that Liam Rosenior would lift the second of a two game suspension after pressure from other players.
However now Veronica Brunati has written on Twitter that that won’t be the case:
“Enzo Fernandez and his camp believe that coach Liam Rosenior, will not lift his suspension, meaning he’s expected to miss the clash against Manchester City,” she wrote.
“The player shares the same pessimism regarding his availability, with the situation now seen as virtually decided.”
Well we could have told you from the very start that the ban wasn’t going to be reduced. Suspending a player like that is a big deal with plenty of PR blowback and risks involved. The one thing you wouldn’t do is ban them and then undo that. That would make the whole club look weak.
Even those who are against the ban probably wouldn’t have recommended reducing it once it had been handed out.
A 23 year old having his breakout season in the Bundesliga is apparently a target for Spurs as well as Chelsea as they look to improve this summer.
Chelsea could let Alejandro Garnacho leave this summer, just a year after signing him, as they look to balance the books.
