AC Milan returned to training today following a three-day Christmas break, starting preparations for the game against Roma at the weekend. According to a report, Christian Pulisic continued to train separately.
After the 1-0 win against Verona, Milan at least headed into the Christmas celebrations with some confidence, overcoming a physical opponent away from home. The big test awaits on Sunday evening, though, as Roma will visit San Siro.
Milan returned to training today and started preparation for the game, with both Alvaro Morata and Ismael Bennacer present with the group according to Antonio Vitiello. Christian Pulisic and the other injured players, meanwhile, continued to train separately.
The goal still appears to have the American back for the game on Sunday, which would be a huge boost for Paulo Fonseca. It remains to be seen what his position will be, though, with some suggesting that he could play on the left given Rafael Leao’s injury.
The game is scheduled for 20:45 CET and a win is a must for the Rossoneri, especially considering just how poor Roma have been so far this season. It doesn’t mean it will be an easy game, but Milan have shown that they are strong at home.
