Vitória host Atlético Mineiro in the Brasileirão on Saturday, 14 March 2026 at Estádio Manoel Barradas in Salvador, with 16th facing 13th as both look to climb the table after mixed starts.
Vitória hold a recent edge in this fixture, unbeaten in the last four league meetings with Atlético Mineiro and winning the past two in Salvador, 4-2 in June 2024 and 1-0 in August 2025.
Leão da Barra drew 1-1 away to Bahia last time out in the league after defeats by Palmeiras and Flamengo, having opened with a home win over Remo. Galo beat Internacional 1-0 on matchday five but have yet to take an away point after losses at RB Bragantino and Grêmio, alongside a 3-3 home draw with Remo.
Nêgo are without Pedro Henrique, Edu, Dudu, Ismael, Claudinho and Fintelman. Alvinegro Mineiro have Maycon, Alexsander, Hendel Índio and Mamady Cissé sidelined.
Leão da Barra have scored five and conceded eight in four league games, while Galo have seven for and eight against in five. With three home points from two outings for the hosts and no away points yet for the visitors, home advantage may prove a factor.
A win would move Leão da Barra to seven points and keep them clear of the relegation places. Alvinegro Mineiro would reach eight points with victory and could climb from 13th towards the top 10 in the early standings.
