Juventus have ended negotiations with the Serbian striker over a possible extension to his contract, which expires next month.

Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that talks between the parties have now ended and Vlahovic will leave Turin after four-and-a-half seasons. After a final round of talks between the club and Vlahovic's camp, no compromise was found.

The 26-year-old will now take on a new challenge with clubs across Europe keen on a deal. Barcelona and Bayern Munich have both been linked with the forward, who has scored 68 goals in 168 games for Juventus since signing from Fiorentina in a €70m deal in January 2022.

Bayern are assessing options to provide competition and cover for Harry Kane, while Barcelona are seeking a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. However, the Spanish champions are prioritising a deal for Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez.

Vlahovic also has long-standing admirers from the Premier League, with Arsenal having been keen on a deal before his transfer to Juventus.

Vlahovic's imminent exit comes as Juventus cut costs, following a failure to secure Champions League qualification. Luciano Spalletti's side slumped to a sixth-place finish inSerie A to miss out on a place in Europe's elite competition.

Juventus chief Damien Comolli had said the Italians were keen to retain the striker, but has warned the clubwill need to sell 'a bit more than was planned' as a result of missing out on a place in the Champions League.

Andrea Cambiaso, Pierre Kalulu and Francisco Conceição are all attracting transfer interest from Premier League clubs.
