Wallace Yan gives initiation haircut as Flamengo prepare to face Bangu | OneFootball

Wallace Yan gave Flamengo prospect Ryan Roberto an initiation haircut ahead of Wednesday’s meeting with Bangu, after the 17-year-old’s first senior call-up.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Roberto posted a clip on social media showing Wallace with clippers shaving his head, meaning he will turn out at Moça Bonita with a shaven head.

The prank is a long-standing dressing-room tradition used to mark a youngster’s first steps with the senior group.

Roberto returns after a lengthy absence with a right hamstring injury and has been cleared by Flamengo’s medical staff. Bruno Pivetti has named him in the squad and he is likely to start among the substitutes.

Regarded as one of the club’s leading academy talents, Roberto has a release clause of €50 million, roughly R$ 315 million at current rates. His deal runs to December 2026 and the club are likely to seek an extension before it expires. He has already trained with the first team.
