‘We don’t need to worry‘— Barcelona captain praises Lamine Yamal after impressive display against Club Brugge

FC Barcelona took a trip to Belgium to face Club Brugge in the Champions League and the game ended in a 3-3 draw. It was an exciting watch for the neutral but, from the Catalan club’s perspective, it represents two points dropped.

Lamine Yamal, who has been under scrutiny in recent weeks, enthralled everyone with his performance against the Belgian side. The Spanish teenager was excellent against Brugge and ran the show in attack for Flick’s team.

After the game, Frenkie de Jong praised Lamine for his performance and admitted there was nothing to worry about with the teenager. As quoted by Mundo Deportivo, he said:

“He did well. He’s a very good player, special, he’ll always make a difference. He might have better or worse games, but if he keeps working, we don’t need to worry about Lamine’s level.”

Sometimes, it is easy to forget that Lamine is still just a teenager. He has a long way to go in his career and is bound to experience many ups and downs.

In recent weeks, the Spaniard has been suffering from pubalgia, which has caused him discomfort and prevented him from playing to his full potential.
