Sky Germany reports that both Fulham and West Ham United are interested in acquiring Werder Bremen wingback Felix Agu via a release clause this summer. The Bundesliga professional could head to London for a price tag of €8m-10m. The former Germany U21 international – via a successful season for Ole Werner’s Hanseaten – has pumped his estimated market value up to a career high €6m.

After helping Bremen achieve promotion back to the top flight following the 2021/22 campaign, Agu missed most of the subsequent season injured. He featured more under Werner the following year, but still wasn’t able to regain his previous promise. The 25-year-old nevertheless did make a strong statement on opening day this year, scoring his first Bundesliga goal in two-and-a-half years against Augsburg.

Agu has since added two more goals and an assist in the league, including an absolute stunner against Holstein Kiel three weeks ago. Werner’s squad features plenty of qualified wingbacks, meaning that Bremen might be keen to cash in on the German-Nigerian. Moving Agu might also lead Werder to consider signing on loan wingbacks Derrick Köhn (Galatasaray) or Issa Kaboré (Manchester City) permanently.
