Wesley proved to be one of Roma’s best signings last summer.

The Brazilian full-back, who arrived on a permanent deal from Flamengo, quickly integrated into the team and proved decisive from his first match.

He has already scored three goals for the Giallorossi, the first of which came on his debut at the Olimpico against Italiano’s Bologna.

Wesley was featured in an interview with Idealista, speaking about his first few months in a new environment like Rome: “The impact has been wonderful: my first time in Rome and my first experience outside of Brazil. I play for a team with an incredible crowd, a passion, and a warmth that are essential for us Brazilians.”

Number 43 continued: “The first monument I saw was the Colosseum, while the neighborhood where I live, Casal Palocco, is a place where I feel very comfortable. There’s lots of greenery and plenty of space for my family, with whom I spend my free time. When I’m not training, I also like to stay home and play video games with friends.”

The former Flamengo player then added: “Gerson and I have been friends for years and have a great relationship. He told me that Rome is truly a fantastic place and the perfect place to play football. And he was right! I have to admit that I like to live a quiet life and enjoy being at home with my family. I enjoy being in good company, but at the same time, I love having a quiet time to recharge my batteries from our busy schedule.”
