West Brom to face Coventry in behind-closed-doors friendly and stadium test | OneFootball

West Bromwich Albion will host newly promoted Coventry City at The Hawthorns on Tuesday evening in their final pre-season friendly.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the warm-up will be played behind closed doors and act as a final workout for James Morrison’s side and the stadium.

Coventry reached the Premier League last season under Frank Lampard, and Morrison wants a top-level test before 2026/27 begins. The visitors are understood to have agreed to the game on that basis.

Coverage will be minimal, with no photos or video highlights, though a match report is expected. The fixture will also check new installations at The Hawthorns before the first home game against Burnley on 23 August.
