Callum Wilson has agreed to sign new deal at West Ham United, which will run until 2027.
Wilson’s deal was due to expire in the summer but all parties have now reached an agreement on an extension.
The 34-year-old joined West Ham on a free transfer form Newcastle United last summer, with his contract heavily incentivised by performances after an injury-hit period.
He’s scored five times in 10 league starts this season, offering an experienced option for Nuno Espirito Santo in attack.
The new deal marks a turnaround for Wilson who had been expected to leave in January, following the signings of Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe for combined fees in the region of £47m.
However, The Telegraph are reporting that a new deal has been agreed to extend the player’s time at the London Stadium.
The decision comes with West Ham battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Hammers are currently 18th in the division, level on points with Nottingham Forest but in the bottom three on goal difference. Tottenham Hotspur are just one point above those two sides.
West Ham face Brentford in the FA Cup’s fifth round this evening before meeting Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
