Leeds United head to West Ham on Sunday looking to close their Premier League season on 50 points, but both camps are nursing fresh fitness concerns.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, third-bottom West Ham could be relegated before the four pm kick-off if Tottenham win at Chelsea, while even a point could realistically consign them. Early team news lists absentees and doubts, with a star back.
Leeds’ top-flight status was confirmed with three games to spare after Arsenal’s 1-0 victory at West Ham last weekend. They drew 1-1 at Tottenham on Monday, then beat Brighton 1-0 on Sunday to reach 47 points and sit 14th.
For the hosts, Adama Traore has missed the last two matches with a quadriceps issue and was ruled out for the preceding trip to Newcastle, leaving his involvement uncertain. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has not featured all season due to a back problem, his only action a September EFL Trophy outing for the under-21s against MK Dons.
Leeds loanee Facundo Buonanotte missed the Tottenham game with a hamstring problem and was ineligible to face parent club Brighton, so his availability remains unclear. Right back Jayden Bogle also sat out at Spurs with a hamstring injury and was still unavailable on Friday.
Left back Gabi Gudmundsson has been sidelined since a hamstring injury late in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea, and remained out as of Friday. Winger Noah Okafor was also still unavailable on Friday with a calf issue, placing a question mark over his return.
