West Ham cut Lucas Paquetá price as Flamengo ‘to present’ bid on Friday | OneFootball

West Ham have lowered their asking price for Lucas Paquetá to 45 million euros (R$ 282.4m), down from 60 million euros (R$ 376m), opening the door for Flamengo. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Rio club plan to present a formal offer on Friday 16 during talks with the Premier League side.

On Tuesday 13 the midfielder failed to report for training, then on Wednesday 14 he visited the club’s training ground for a meeting with head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

During that conversation, Nuno tried to persuade him to stay. Paquetá restated his wish to return to Brazilian football, and the coach said he would speak to the board regarding an immediate release.

West Ham are enduring a difficult 2025/26, sitting in the Premier League relegation zone, seven points behind 17th place. Paquetá has told the club he wants to go back to Brazil in this window.

Flamengo are his priority, the club where he came through the academy. He has turned down offers from Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham to pursue a return, and has agreed personal terms with Flamengo. The Brazilian side now need to reach a deal with West Ham.
