West Ham face stumbling block in pursuit of Fulham forward Adama Traore | OneFootball

West Ham United are pursuing a move for Fulham winger Adama Traore in the winter transfer window. 

However, according to The Telegraph, Traore’s wage demands are preventing a deal from happening.

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants a reunion with the experienced forward, who he previously managed at Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

Traore impressed during his spell at Wolves, bagging 14 goals and 20 assists in 194 senior appearances. 

He joined Fulham in 2023 and has been an important squad player, recording four goals and 13 assists in 75 appearances.

Traore is known for his physicality, pace, dribbling skills and crossing ability. However, he is also renowned for his wastefulness in attacking areas.

West Ham are desperate to sign players this month as they face a tough battle to stay in the Premier League. 

Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion left them four points away from 17th-place Nottingham Forest. 

The Hammers are also in the market for a striker, with Niclas Fullkrug set to join AC Milan on loan. 

They are reportedly in talks to sign Gil Vicente’s Pablo, who has bagged ten goals and one assist in 13 Primeira Liga games this season.
