A new era begins for West Ham United on Monday night as Nuno Espírito Santo takes charge of his first match away at Everton.
The Portuguese manager was appointed on Saturday morning following the dramatic sacking of Graham Potter, with the club sitting 19th in the Premier League table.
Nuno has had just two training sessions to implement his ideas and faces an immediate and difficult task. His first priority will be to fix the leakiest defence in the division, which has been particularly vulnerable from set-pieces this season. He will be demanding an instant reaction from his new players at a ground where the Hammers have a decent recent record.
New manager Nuno Espírito Santo will be without two key players for his first game in charge. Midfielder Tomáš Souček serves the second match of his suspension, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also unavailable with a stomach issue.
However, the attack will be led by a player with a phenomenal record in this fixture. Striker Callum Wilson has scored eight goals in his last seven Premier League appearances against Everton, including four separate braces.
West Ham United predicted XI: Areola; Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf; Magassa, Fernandes; Bowen, Paquetá, Summerville; Wilson.
The Premier League fixture will be played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday, 29 September 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage starting at 7:30 pm BST.
