Club América will return to Estadio Azteca for home games until 13 May, when FIFA will take over for World Cup preparations. From Apertura 2026, América will be back there permanently, alongside Cruz Azul and Atlante. The picture for América Femenil remains unclear.

According to Americayya.net, there is no official guidance on the women’s side, who for this tournament will continue at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes. It is also considered very likely they do the same in Apertura 2026.

With three teams set to share the Coloso de Santa Úrsula, scheduling will already be tight. Adding a fourth team would make date allocation even more difficult.

The only way for América Femenil to play home matches there would be to switch to Friday or Monday, or to alternate with Atlante, which is difficult given the leagues use different calendars.

The likeliest weekend split would see América on Saturdays, Cruz Azul also on Saturdays with alternation, and Atlante on Sundays. Any adjustment for the women would need to be set out in an official announcement in the coming weeks.
