The Argyle striker has been doing something that has many fans all saying the same thing.

Plymouth Argyle star Bim Pepple has been drawing praise from many Pilgrims supporters after he was spotted lending a hand in the community at a local charity shop.

A major overhaul took place at Home Park in the summer following Plymouth's relegation from the Championship to League One.

There were a host of new signings added to Tom Cleverley's squad, with one of them being 22-year-old striker, Bim Pepple.

Joining from Luton Town, the young Canadian forward has been plying his trade in English football since 2022, when he joined the Hatters from Calgary-based side Cavalry FC.

He's already establishing himself as an important player in Argyle's side, and by the looks of things, he's also throwing himself into and embracing the community of Plymouth too.

With no League One or EFL Trophy game for Plymouth over the weekend, any player would be forgiven for using that time to catch up on some rest, or perhaps fire up the gaming console to sink some hours into the latest release.

And whilst Pepple may well have done those things too, he has been spotted spending some of his spare time giving back to the Devonshire community.

As revealed by Plymouth Live, the Pilgrims striker has been volunteering at the Shekinah charity shop in Plymouth, which specialises in the selling of vintage and second-hand clothing, as well as books and homeware items among plenty of other things.

Pictured in an Instagram post by the shop, Pepple can be seen lending a helping hand by painting some furniture, and what's even more impressive is that this isn't the first time he's dropped by to help out.

In fact, as revealed by Shekinah's employment, enterprise and fundraising manager Andy Kebby via Plymouth Live, the Argyle star has been volunteering at the shop pretty much ever since he arrived in town this summer.

"It came from him," Kebby said.

"His mum always encouraged him to give back to the community, and when he joined Plymouth Argyle, he Google searched charities in the area, saw us and popped into the shop.

"He didn't say who he was, just said he wanted to do some volunteering. He did the orientation and then got to work.

"The manager of the shop, Cristobel, doesn't really follow football, but over time there were conversations and he threw into the mix that he had just signed for the team.

"Cristobel mentioned Bim's name to her partner, who is a football fan, and he couldn't believe it.

"He's very humble, and it's clear his mother has instilled this in him. It's simply a case of him wanting to give something back to the community, which is wonderful. He has said he wants to do more work with Shekinah."

It's always fantastic to see footballers out in the community and giving back to the people who spend their hard-earned money to watch them play every week, with fans and the community in general the backbone of clubs like Plymouth Argyle.

But it's even more impressive to see such a young player like Pepple, who could so easily have been spending his spare time doing a multitude of other things, getting out there and lending a hand to people and businesses that need the help of willing volunteers the most.

Therefore, it's no surprise to see the Argyle star being swamped with praise by Pilgrims fans, in response to an X post from Plymouth Live reporter Chris Errington, who covered this heartwarming story.

"What a really rewarding and worthwhile way to spend your time away from football. Well done Bim," commented one Plymouth supporter.

"Proper gentleman. The example was Finn Azaz," said another Argyle fan, with former Plymouth star Azaz having spent every Wednesday for five months volunteering at St Luke's Hospice during his time at Home Park.

"What a commendable act. Well done, Bim," wrote another Pilgrims fan.

"Nice work Bim. This should get a few more members joining the Bim Pepple fan club eh @the_pieface (popular online content creator and Plymouth Argyle fan)," said another Plymouth supporter.

Pepple certainly appears to have won the people of Plymouth over already, and as he should, for this selfless act of kindness should rightly see him having his praises sung far and wide.
