Kane has not activated a potential release clause. „He has not exercised his release clause, which means that he is definitely under contract here until the summer of 2027,“ explained Hoeneß. Internally, this signal is seen as a clear commitment.

The 74-year-old also described his impression of the striker’s environment very clearly. „What I hear and feel,“ said Hoeneß, „is that he and his family feel extremely comfortable here.“ At the same time, he qualified: „But you never know when a Saudi comes and puts big money on the table … But he feels so comfortable.“

Hoeneß also has clear words for the attacker, who has once again impressed as a key player this season. The Bayern patron sees no signs of a decline in the 32-year-old’s performance.

„He is a perfect professional who looks after his body. He is always in rehab, with the physios,“ said Hoeneß about the goalscorer’s way of working. That is why he is convinced: „He can play at this level for at least another three or four years.“

At the same time, Hoeneß also raves about Munich’s current offensive power. With regard to the team’s record-breaking run, he emphasizes: „It’s 5:0 and they won’t stop. They also want to score the sixth, seventh and eighth goal.“ In this context, he would even like Kane to set a special milestone: „Anyone who puts in such outstanding performances must also score the record goal.“
