Wolves and West Brom will renew Championship hostilities from August, and supporters are set for early clarity on TV picks. Fans will get up to five months' notice for televised fixtures across the 2026/27 EFL season.

Wolves’ eight-season Premier League stay ended under Rob Edwards, whose side were relegated and finished bottom. Albion survived in the second tier under James Morrison, who was handed a permanent two-year deal as head coach.

It brings the first league Black Country derby since the 2020/21 Covid Premier League, and the first with supporters at Molineux and The Hawthorns since 2011/12.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, fixtures are released at midday on Thursday, June 25, a date awaited by fans of Wolves, Albion and Walsall. The season starts with the EFL Cup first round on the weekend of August eight, with league action the following weekend.

The opening league weekend across all three EFL divisions, from August 14 to 16, will be shown live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports +.

TV selections for matches before the end of September will be confirmed by July two.

All televised fixtures up to and including January eight to January 11 will be confirmed by July 31.

By November 6, picks will be set for fixtures up to and including the midweek of March two and March three.

Matches on the weekend of March five to March eight will be confirmed by February five, then announcements will follow weekly four weeks ahead. Penultimate weekend selections will be made three weeks in advance, with the final weekend set a week out.
