The speculation surrounding Michael Olise shows no sign of abating – but those responsible at FC Bayern are demonstratively calm

Whether Real Madrid or Liverpool FC: interest in Michael Olise continues to grow. According to media reports, offers of up to 200 million euros are in the offing. However, this is not causing nervousness at FC Bayern – on the contrary

Head of Sport Max Eberl made the Munich club’s stance unmistakably clear: „We’re not wasting any thought on that,“ the 52-year-old told Sport BILD: „He’s an FC Bayern player and has all the opportunities here that top players want. We want to shape the future with him.“

Eberl also emphasized the strong relationship of trust between club and player: „Olise knows what he has in us and vice versa. It’s a good fit.“ The Bayern boss is also relaxed when asked about a possible contract extension: „In general, you are always in contact with your players. But what we talk about remains internal.“

CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen also clearly backs the attacking star and sends a clear message to potential suitors: „Whichever club makes eyes at him: anyone who plays for FC Bayern knows what he has at FC Bayern.“

No thoughts of a move for Olise

According to the club’s management, there are currently no signs that Olise is considering a transfer. Instead, Dreesen sees sporting success as the decisive factor; „We play for titles, and that’s the most important thing for exceptional players like this. For this type of player, playing for titles is what counts. There aren’t that many clubs out there, and we’re certainly one of the ones that can do that. That’s why I’m absolutely certain that Michael knows what he has in us.“

Munich signed Olise from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 for around €53 million – a transfer that has since turned out to be a real stroke of luck

Bayern believes Olise can do anything

With his performances, the Frenchman is currently one of the most outstanding players in Europe and is even in with a chance of winning the Ballon d’Or

Nevertheless, Eberl remains deliberately reserved: „I’m not a fan of comparisons: Michael is Michael, the fans love him, he brings us all joy. That’s what counts.“ At the same time, he made it clear how much trust there is in the attacking player: „There’s no limit for a player like him – we trust him to do anything.“

The message from FC Bayern is therefore clear: regardless of the sums involved, selling Olise is currently not an issue.
