The Nigeria international is fit again following a spell out of action with an ankle injury
Victor Osimhen is set to feature for Galatasaray against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
An ankle problem sustained while on international duty with Nigeria against Rwanda has kept Osimhen on the sidelines for the majority of the month.
The striker was forced to sit out the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualification draw with South Africa as well as three Galatasaray fixtures - including the 5-1 Champions League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt a fortnight ago.
Osimhen, did however, return to action as a substitute at the weekend as he played the final five minutes of the 1-0 win over Alanyaspor.
In a further boost for the Turkish Super Lig champions, the Nigerian was spotted in training on Monday which suggests he is winning his battle to be fit for the visit of Liverpool.
Okan Buruk, as expected, addressed the media at his pre-match press conference on Monday, and revealed the latest on Osimhen’s chances of featuring against Liverpool.
"Today we will see how he was in the last training session.
"Osimhen has continued training. It was positive for us that he played 10 minutes in the last game. We will look at his situation today and decide."
If passed fit and named in the Galatasaray matchday squad, Osimhen may have to settle for a place on the bench once again due to the form of Mauro Icardi.
The Argentine has netted three goals in four appearances, including the winner against Alanyaspor.
Elsewhere, former Manchester City pair Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane are in contention to face the Reds, as are ex-Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira and ex-Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez.
