Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with Osimhen in the past two transfer windows, and while the summer window is still a few months away, the buzz around him is already picking up.
After regaining the form that made him a standout in the 2022-23 season, this time with Galatasaray, Osimhen is expected to draw even more interest from Europe’s top clubs once the summer window opens.
So far this season, he’s scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 25 matches across all competitions for the Turkish giants.
GIVE ME SPORT recently reported that Manchester United have made Galatasaray loanee Osimhen their top target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
The report claims that the Red Devils are confident they can strike a deal if Osimhen is willing to lower his salary expectations. There’s also an understanding that he could be within reach if they’re ready to spend around £63 million when he returns to Napoli at the end of the season.

According to NapoliMagazine, Manchester United are “ready to pay” Osimhen’s release clause. The report states that while the 26-year-old won’t be joining Galatasaray permanently after this season, he’s “95 percent” likely to be sold to another club when he returns to Napoli.
While this news looks promising for Manchester United, there are three significant challenges to overcome.
First, United are actively working to trim their hefty wage bill, and Osimhen, who earns over £200,000 per week, has been reluctant to lower his salary demands. He nearly joined Chelsea before his move to Galatasaray, with the deal falling apart partly due to his wage expectations.
Second, United still have to convince Osimhen that they are a club on the rise. Osimhen wants to join a team that competes for major titles and regularly plays in the Champions League. Unless United win the Europa League, they are unlikely to qualify for next season’s Champions League through their league position.
Lastly, Manchester United aren’t the only club interested in Osimhen. Chelsea and PSG have also been linked to the striker and are ready to meet Napoli’s asking price, just like United.
