Sacha Boey is facing an uncertain future at FC Bayern. Even before the winter transfer window opens, his entourage and several Premier League clubs are holding concrete talks. A move to England is looking increasingly likely
There are increasing signs that Sacha Boey could leave FC Bayern in January. According to the British portal TEAMtalk, his team of advisors are already in talks with several clubs. Two Premier League clubs in particular are in the spotlight: Newcastle United and Crystal Palace. Both are monitoring the 25-year-old right-back’s situation very closely – and sense an opportunity
Boey moved to Munich from Galatasaray Istanbul in January 2024 for around €30 million. Expectations were high for the Frenchman, but he was unable to make a lasting impact under coach Vincent Kompany. Boey has only made a few appearances this season and has not played a game for almost six weeks
According to consistent reports, the player has now been informed that a transfer is possible in the winter

Crystal Palace are one of the clubs actively looking to sign the Frenchman, having been linked with him for some time
According to TEAMtalk, Champions League contenders Newcastle United have also entered the fray. The Magpies currently have major personnel concerns in defence, with Dan Burn out for an extended period and Emil Krafth struggling with ongoing fitness problems. The tense situation recently even led to midfielder Lewis Miley having to help out at full-back. These circumstances increase the pressure on Newcastle to add to their ranks in January
From FC Bayern’s point of view, the development fits into the picture. Kompany is currently planning with other types of players in the full-back positions. In addition, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito, two long-term injured players, are returning, which further intensifies the competition
No final decision has been made yet, but the trend is clear: England is becoming more and more concrete for Boey. Whether it will be Crystal Palace or Newcastle United depends above all on the structure of a possible deal.
