Liverpool clashed heads with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and found themselves a man up in the 33rd minute when Xavi Simons was sent off by the referee. Arne Slot’s players went into the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.

Alexander Isak scored the opening goal for Liverpool with a good finish in the 56th minute. Hugo Ekitike doubled the Merseyside club’s advantage just ten minutes later. Richarlison grabbed a late consolation for Spurs in the 83rd minute before Cristian Romero saw a red card as well in injury time. The contest finished with Liverpool earning a narrow 2-1 win away from home.
