Liverpool will entertain Aston Villa at Anfield this Saturday night as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss at the hands of Crystal Palace recently, so they would be desperate to put in a much-improved showing this weekend.
Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation once again and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Florian Wirtz, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk could all play from the start of this contest.
Giorgi Mamardashvili will function in goal for the Reds after being rested in midweek. Ibrahima Konate will operate alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool defence as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.
Conor Bradley will hope to catch the eye as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Slot will instruct both of them to perform their defensive duties well before trying to offer some support to the front players.
Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai will play as the holding midfielders as they look to set the tempo of the game at the centre of the park and orchestrate some clear-cut chances in the final third.
The talented trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah will operate just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Reds are to secure a comfortable win this weekend.
Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch are both major doubts for this game. However, Wataru Endo and Trey Nyoni will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Hugo Ekitike will spearhead Slot’s attack up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net versus the Villans after getting a rest in midweek.
Alexander Isak is unlikely to recover in time for this game. However, Federico Chiesa will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
