‘Without deserving it’ – Materazzi scared of the Milan double possibilities | OneFootball

There is a very possible scenario where AC Milan win two trophies this season whilst Inter walk away empty-handed, and Marco Materazzi has admitted his fears.

As an opening sentence, who would think that would be possible as early as last month? However, there is a growing sense of ‘What If?’ arising that would be fantastic for Milanistas to experience, more so with Inter fans already discussing the possibilities of a treble.

Of course, this refers to the possibility of Milan winning the Coppa Italia, thus beating Inter in the second leg in midweek. The optimism is understandable, though, given Simone Inzaghi’s recent troubles against the Rossoneri.

For Inter fans, it is the worst idea possible, because of the polarising opposite which could be achieved – the historic treble, Scudetto, Champions League and Coppa Italia, and Materazzi has discussed his big worries to Viva El Futbol this morning, as Calciomercato.com relays.

“This year, Milan risks winning two trophies (the Coppa Italia after the Supercoppa) without deserving it and Inter nothing. This is my biggest nightmare.”
