Wolves have appointed Nathan Shi as permanent executive chairman, confirming the interim chief as the club confronts impending relegation.

The club said in a statement that he will continue to lead strategic direction and day-to-day operations into a crucial summer and the 2026/27 season. He will report directly to the Fosun board.

Shi has served since December after namesake Jeff Shi left the role amid mounting anger from supporters, with the side still winless in the top flight.

The move provides clarity and consistency at the top after a period in which the new chairman engaged staff, fans, local communities and other stakeholders to assess challenges and required work.

He is now tasked with leading the club as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

Jeff Shi remains chairman and CEO of Fosun Sports Group, with no operational duties relating to Wolves.
