According to Sky Sports, Leeds United’s former relegation rivals Wolves have sacked manager Rob Edwards after seven months in charge following their drop to the Championship.
Edwards, 43, left Championship promotion chasers Middlesbrough to take the Wolves job last November, with results initially improving after a dreadful start.
Despite that upturn, Wolves looked destined for the drop for some time and were officially relegated with five games remaining.
He had appeared set to lead a push for an immediate return at the first attempt before the club’s change of course.
The club are expected to appoint Cesar Peixoto, currently head coach of Portuguese side Gil Vicente, as their new boss.
