Wolverhampton Wanderers Women celebrated a landmark promotion to the Women’s Super League 2 at a civic reception hosted by the Mayor of Wolverhampton today, Friday 15 May.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, it is the first time in the club’s history that the team have reached Women’s Super League 2, achieved earlier this month.

Promotion was sealed with a 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle.
Players, coaching staff and senior representatives of Wolverhampton Wanderers Women came together for the reception.
The side had previously finished runners-up on four occasions.
