Senegal will play two pivotal matches in September as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Lions will host Sudan in Diamniadio on September 5 before traveling to Kinshasa to take on DR Congo on September 9.
The Lions of Teranga continue their qualifying campaign with two critical fixtures. The first showdown is set for Abdoulaye-Wade Stadium, where Senegal will welcome Sudan on Thursday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. GMT. Five days later, on September 9, the national team will head to the Democratic Republic of Congo to face the Leopards at the Stade des Martyrs, with kick-off at 5:00 p.m. GMT.
Senegal heads into this double-header in a tricky position in Group B of the African qualifiers. Currently sitting second in the group behind DR Congo (13 pts), Senegal (12 pts) absolutely needs to pick up points in these two crucial matches to keep their hopes of direct qualification alive.
