Cameroon has been hit by a genuine injury curse, depriving the Indomitable Lions of three key players ahead of the crucial African play-off for a spot at the 2026 World Cup.

Faced with this tricky situation, the technical staff led by Belgian Marc Brys must quickly find solutions and devise alternative plans.

At the top of the list of absentees is goalkeeper André Onana, suffering from ankle pain and whose participation in the match remains in doubt.

Also missing are Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, striker for the New York Red Bulls, and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Napoli midfielder, both sidelined due to injury. Medical examinations revealed a knee sprain for Choupo-Moting, while Zambo Anguissa was forced to halt training due to a muscle strain in his leg.

Let's not forget that the Indomitable Lions will face the Democratic Republic of Congo tomorrow, Thursday, in Rabat (Morocco) in the semi-final of the African play-offs, after qualifying as one of the best runners-up from the African qualifying group stage.
