Enzo Fernandez has made it clear in his recent media interactions that he has a special place for Madrid in his heart, possibly flirting with Real Madrid over a summer transfer.
It can be no coincidence, moreover, that the Spanish media has subsequently filled up with reports of the player’s departure from London and a possible move to Real Madrid, and it is clear that there is more to the story than meets the eye.
Now, as confirmed by Radio MARCA in a recent update, Enzo Fernandez is indeed liked by Real Madrid and there is a concrete relationship between the player and the club after he offered himself via his agents.
Fernandez reportedly offered Real Madrid his services after PSG beat Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, and thus expressed his interest in making the switch to Spain.
Real Madrid, for their part, do want to sign the player and see merit in his acquisition. However, they will only do so if it happens as per their conditions.
Los Blancos refuse to pay over €100 million for the World Cup-winning midfielder, irrespective of the situation, thus putting pressure on Fernandez and indirectly Chelsea to regulate the asking price.

The London-based side, however, are currently far off that mark and are currently rumoured to be expecting a sum of between €150 million and €160 million for his transfer.
There is thus hope for amicable conditions to arise to reduce the asking price.
If Chelsea miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification and Fernandez pushes for a departure from his end, there could be a lowering of the fee.
The only massive hurdle, however, is the long-term contract the Argentine star has in place with Chelsea, which runs until the summer of 2032.
This is why Chelsea are under no pressure to sell the player contractually, and everything will depend on their financial situation.
