Wrexham and Oxford United are both interested in Guingamp star Kalidou Sidibe.
Wrexham and Oxford United have both set their sights on Guingamp midfielder Kalidou Sidibe ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window.
The Red Dragons are keen to bolster their ranks, as four successive Championship wins over the Festive Period saw Phil Parkinson's men climb to within one point of the play-off places.
Meanwhile, Oxford must enjoy a strong transfer window to avoid relegation, but a 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town on New Year's Day left them languishing in 23rd.
The Championship duo, who have both eyed Sidibe, are preparing for their FA Cup third round ties, with Wrexham hosting Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest, whereas the U's travel to League Two club MK Dons.

The January transfer window provides both Parkinson's men and Oxford with a vital opportunity to bolster their respective squads ahead of the business end of the campaign.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Championship duo are both interested in Guingamp midfielder Sidibe, who stands at 6 feet 7 inches tally, and has notched one goal and two assists in 15 Ligue 2 games this term.
The 26-year-old joined Sylvain Ripoll's side from Quevilly back in 2023, and previously plied his trade for Toulouse in both Ligue 1 and the second tier of French football.
Foot Mercato's report states that Polish top-flight club KS Cracovia are alongside Wrexham and Oxford in the race for the midfielder's signature.
Sidibe's contract with Guingamp expires at the end of the season, so the current transfer window offers Ripoll's men their last chance to cash in on his services.
Amid the transfer battle for the former Toulouse star, the Ligue 2 club sit three points behind the play-off places, five points adrift of Le Mans.

Both the Red Dragons and the U's can offer Sidibe a valuable opportunity to move to English football for the first time in his career.
However, the Frenchman is arguably more likely to join Wrexham than he is to agree terms with Oxford, as Parkinson's men battle for a place in the Championship play-offs.
The Welsh outfit have enjoyed an unrelenting rise through the divisions in recent years, earning consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship.
Parkinson is now keen on utilising the January transfer window to acquire talent that can help his side beat the likes of Preston North End to a top-six spot in the second tier.
Sidibe's CV, which includes appearances at the top level of French football, suggests that he is ready to perform in the Championship as Wrexham ambitiously eye a place in next season's Premier League.
According to FotMob, the 26-year-old boasts a dribble success rate of 68.8 per cent in Ligue 2, while his tenacity has seen him win 113 duels in the second tier of French football this term.
Sidibe's all-action style of play in midfield could perfectly complement current Wrexham stars such as Ben Sheaf and former Leicester City ace Matty James, and whilst there's plenty of depth in the Red Dragons engine room, the Frenchman would certainly offer something different.
