Wydad Casablanca secures Moroccan attacking reinforcement
On Monday, August 25, 2025, Wydad Casablanca officially announced the signing of Zouhair El Moutaraji. The Moroccan forward rejoins the Red and Whites' squad on the eve of the 2025-2026 season kickoff.
A former player for the club, El Moutaraji arrives from Pharco FC, the Egyptian side where he struggled to find significant playing time. Last season, he started only four matches out of fifteen appearances across all competitions.
In an official statement, Wydad Athletic Club confirmed that the 29-year-old striker has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2028. "We hope this new signing will bring real value and help us achieve our set objectives," said the club's management.
For Zouhair El Moutaraji, it's a homecoming. The forward knows Casablanca inside out, having played there from 2015 to 2024. His experience and deep understanding of the club environment should prove invaluable for Mehdi Nafti's squad, who are eager to reclaim the national title and shine once more on the continental stage.
