Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed his plans to fit Jude Bellingham into his line-up moving forward.

Midfielder Bellingham is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch for the first time this season on Saturday evening.

En route to Real Madrid putting Espanyol to the sword by two goals to nil, the Englishman was introduced to proceedings off the bench during the 2nd-half.

This comes with Bellingham having returned from a spell on the sidelines following shoulder surgery well ahead of schedule.

The problem for the coaching staff in Spain’s capital now comes in the form of exacty where the 21-year-old will fit in Xabi Alonso’s XI.

Los Blancos are fresh off a flawless start to the campaign without Bellingham, culminating in six wins from six across all competitions.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Saturday’s latest three-point haul, the subject of as much was therefore put to Real’s headmaster himself.

And Alonso showed little hesitation in responding:

“Jude’s position is as an attacking midfielder. He has an incredible range of movement, and the more we can find him, the better our performance. The Club World Cup was a different experience. With him and Camavinga, we have two additional options, two top-class players.”
