Club Bruges said in a statement on Tuesday morning that Yann Sommer has joined after his Inter Milan contract expired at the end of June. He will play in the Champions League with the Belgian champions.
The 37-year-old former Switzerland international with 94 caps has signed until 2029 and arrives as the successor to Simon Mignolet.

He spent three successful seasons in Lombardy, winning two Italian league titles and reaching the 2025 Champions League final.
After spells in Switzerland, Germany and Italy, Belgium will be the fourth league of his career.
A mainstay at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he played 335 matches across nine seasons, he should quickly establish himself as first choice in the Bruges goal.
