Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC have parted ways with head coach Romain Folz just hours after disappointing 1-0 defeat to Malawi’s Silver Strikers in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg at Bingu Stadium, Lilongwe.

The club confirmed in official statement that the decision described as mutual ends the Frenchman’s short spell in charge, just 88 day after his appointment on 23 July 2025 as successor to Miloud Hamdi.

"The management of Young Africans Sports Club wishes to inform the public that it has terminated the contract of Head Coach Romain Folz. We thank him for his contribution and wish him success in his future career" the club said.
