Yuri Alberto re-established himself as Corinthians’ outright leading scorer for 2026. He struck the second goal in a 2-0 win over Flamengo at Mané Garrincha, sealing the Supercopa do Brasil.

The goal arrived in second-half stoppage time. Released in behind, he lifted the ball over Rossi and into the net. It was initially ruled out for offside, then awarded after a review.

Alberto now has three goals in six appearances this season. The other two came against Santos and Velo Clube in the Campeonato Paulista. Breno Bidon has two in seven, while André Ramalho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique and André Luiz have one each.

This is the third straight year he has led Corinthians’ scoring. He hit 19 goals in 2025, after a career-best 31 in 2024. In 2023 he finished second with 15, behind Róger Guedes on 21.

Corinthians return on Thursday 5 February for the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista. Dorival Júnior’s side host Capivariano at Neo Química Arena at 20:30.
