For the first time in 2026, Yuri Alberto has scored in consecutive matches for Corinthians, netting against Santos and Velo Clube. According to Meu Timao, both games were in the Campeonato Paulista's opening phase.
Against Santos on Thursday, he missed a penalty. He then pounced after a sequence of three shots, firing low to open the scoring.
On Sunday against Velo Clube, the number nine was introduced late. In stoppage time he converted a rebound to clinch a 1-0 win.
His previous run of scoring in back-to-back games came between September and October last year, in a 2-1 loss to Flamengo and a 3-0 win over Mirassol, both in the Brasileirão.
Nearing four years at the club, he is Corinthians' top scorer of the 21st century and the leading marksman at Neo Química Arena, with 49 goals at the ground. He is contracted until 22 July 2030.
He will be heavily involved this week, with Bahia in the first round of the Brasileirão and Flamengo in the one-off Supercopa do Brasil final.
His Corinthians record shows 211 games, 180 starts, 93 wins, 55 draws and 63 defeats, a 52.76% points return, plus 78 goals, 21 assists and 99 direct goal contributions, and two titles. His average fan rating stands at 5.46 from 547,240 votes.
